Scandinavian, born 1965 in Ribe, Denmark. Ribe is the oldest town in the Nordics (713 AD). Grew up in Ribe, attended primary school and later the ancient Ribe Cathedral school (highschool), which was established 1145 AD. Specialized in Math/Physics.
Finished grad school at DTU in Lyngby, Denmark (Master of Science, Civil Engineering / Computer Science). Worked for software companies AmbraSoft and Oracle in Copenhagen after graduation. Moved to the US in 1998 and moved back to Denmark in 2021. In the USA I lived longer periods in Orlando (Florida), Portland (Oregon) and Mountain View (California). Developed a strong passion for mountaineering and hiking in the beautiful western reaches of the US.
